Every four years, the catholic elementary school St. Nikolaus sets up a project together with the circus Nikolini. The children are given the opportunity to become part of a “real” circus with artists, animals, tents and circus carriages. This way, children with different social backgrounds can be linked by discovering unknown areas together and promoting their talents. This is particularly helpful to facilitate the integration of children from families with a migration or refugee background. The Hans Hermann Voss Foundation also supports the project in 2017, the 800-year anniversary of Wipperfürth.
