MINT-friendly school

Award for schools in the district Oberbergischer Kreis

On initiative of the Hans Hermann Voss Foundation, from 2014 onwards, different schools from Wipperfürth and Marienheide applied for the title "MINT-friendly school" and were awarded. Some schools were awarded additionally as a "Digital school".

The initiator of the distinctions is the initiative "MINT Zukunft schaffen" (Creating a MINT future). This initiative aims to pool the many already existing individual MINT initiatives in order to give the topic of MINT a wider platform through a collective stand. An important goal of "MINT Zukunft schaffen" is to quantitatively and qualitatively improve instruction and lessons in the MINT subjects at schools and universities.
